Spring break is the week of March 16-20. Classes end May 5-6.
2026-2027 Calendar
The Fall semester begins August 19 and ends December 9. No classes are held on November 26 for Thanksgiving. Classes resume on January 6. Spring break is the week of March 15-19. Classes end May 12.
Online Class Days
On days we have online class, we will be using Canvas as our online learning system. This facilitates everything from our Zoom meeting to assignments, downloads and grades to all be in one place. Information for how to enroll will be sent in July and a practice session will be held in August.
Home Days
On days we do not have class, students are encouraged to ask questions and submit work-in-progress via email at any time Monday-Friday. I will typically answer any student email within 24 hours. Questions submitted on Friday may be answered on Saturday, but I do not answer student emails on Sundays. I have found over the years that consulting and editing via email works well for interacting with writers outside of class. However, if there is a need for video conferencing, I can be available through Google Meet, Zoom, Skype or FaceTime by appointment.
